Last year I learned about this coffee remedy that was used to help reduce the appearance of cellulite or “nooks and crannies,” as I call them. Once again, when you have a child, your body goes through many changes. I am not going to tell you ALL the changes to look forward to, but know that cellulite can be one of them and it effects you whether your big or small.
Of course when I heard of this remedy I was like “why coffee?” Apparently it is a great antioxidant and helps fight many diseases. Dr. Oz did a segment on it too and when you hear his name attached to anything your a little more apt to try the product. Lastly, it was said to be a “Brazilian best kept secret” and many women pay to have this done. So I looked up the many variations of the DIY body scrub and this is the one I tried, adding more or less of each:
1 cup of fresh caffinated coffee
1 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup of water
Air tight jar
Mix ingrediants in jar and then apply in a circular motion. Leave on for about 10 min. Rinse off and apply your daily moisturizer. Store jar in a cool place.
NOTE: Make sure to do it in the shower because its messy!
Now I don’t have a lot of cellulite, but after using this remedy five times a week for the past 4 weeks, I can say I have noticed a little change of appearance of my skin. It’s definitely left it smoother if nothing else. I read one blog where the woman said she used it for two days and immediately saw a difference. Yea, not over here…can we say too much booty and thighs?
Another blog says do it for several weeks with a healthy diet. I think I’m just going to direct my focus on eating right and working out, with a special emphasis on working out! Lets face it, you can never go wrong with the last one!
