I normally don’t wear scarves out in public, however since it’s about time for me to switch up the hair, I decided to try something new. This scarf actually belong to my grandmother (on my mom’s side) and it is from Ghana in West Africa. I never had the pleasure of meeting her before she passed away, so when my mom gave me one of her scarves, I felt I had an instant connection to my heritage.
Today, I wanted to share a little piece of that with the world. I have enjoyed the feedback when people tell me how much they love the print or how great it looks coordinated with my outfit. I especially love, when they ask, “where is it from?” Then I can proudly say, “It’s from Ghana and it belonged to my grandmother!” 🙂
