I strongly believe that fashion is all about self expression. You know the phrase, “First impressions are everything,” well they may not be EVERYTHING, but they definitely will have you wondering! Now sometimes even the most well dressed have their days in which they just don’t feel like getting dressed and just want to be comfortable without all the “extra” stuff. However, dressing comfortable doesn’t mean that you have to look like you don’t care about your look. 

Take my photo on the left for instances, if you never met me or knew anything about me, what would be your first impression? Now what about the second photo? Which looks well put together? Sophisticated? Business like? Fashionable? I hope that everyone agreees that look #2 is the best and hopefully it says “I’m about my business!”
At the end of the day, no matter how you look, someone is always going to have a comment to say. If you are dressed too nice the question then becomes, “where does she think she’s going?”  If not dressed up enough the question then is, “what was she thinking?” In any event,  my personal motto is that I would rather be overdressed knowing I look good then being under dressed and not presenting myself at my best. 
Always remember to dress with a purpose. Dress the message you want to convey.  A little accessories and makeup can go a long way. You can be running errands and still look good doing them. Workout clothes are so fashionable now they could literally be worn almost anywhere! 
Looks aren’t everything, but if first impressions truly are your first impressions. Do you know what your look is conveying? Be confident, smile and know that what you wear is also telling a story…your story. ?
