Yesterday I celebrated turning 38 years old and I am truly grateful! I was surrounded by family, good friends and of course good food (I think the last time I got this dressed up for my birthday was probably in college). Now, about that dress!!! As soon as I saw it I knew it would be perfect and that it would just be a matter of picking from all the lovely colors!

I ended up with the fuchsia pink as you can see and I think it was hit. I just love the color on dark skin and it is also a refreshing color for our recent Spring like temperatures! I’m always a little skeptical about ruffles and making sure they don’t make me look too young, however this was perfect! Especially the ruffle pleated bottom.

At the end of the day, as I’m getting older, I just want to live life to the fullest without hesitation. I also want to make sure every move I make involves the plans that God has for my life. Here’s to many more fabulous birthdays and great days ahead! 💜

SN: This dress fit just right in the hips, but was a little big in the top and I had to put tape in it to hold it in. 😂
